One hundred and twelve years after Pres. Emilio Aguinaldo celebrated the Philippine independence from his balcony in Kawit, Cavite, I write this blog post in honor of those who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the Filipino People. I thank God for giving this nation heroes. From Lapu-lapu, Andres Bonifacio, Dr. Jose P. Rizal, Emilio Aguinaldo, the Trece Martires (Thirteen martyrs), Diego and Gabriella Silang, Ninoy and Cory Aquino, soldiers, and many more, to the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), I thank you all. For those who died protecting this nation, this blog post is dedicated to your memories. For those who live to serve this nation, this blog post is also for you.

I am saddened by those who know not respect for the Philippine flag, the Philippine National Anthem, and other heraldic items. I am saddened by those who continue to corrupt this nation; those who ruin this nation; and those who seek personal riches alone. It saddens me that there are unjust politicians sitting (and will be sitting) in the government. I dearly hope that they (unjust politicians) would not waste what our heroes died and lived for. I believe that the death and life of our heroes must not be in vain. Please, as the nation celebrates its 112th independence day, I request politicians and all of the Filipinos to commemorate the sacrifices of our heroes and may we live so that their lives and deaths be not in vain.
Thank you for reading this post.
MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!
(long live the Philippines)
God bless the Philippines!
